We collect two basic types of information from our Users:

(a) Personal Data:

(i) What is Personal Data? Personal Data is information that pertains to you specifically and can help identify you as a person. In some cases, we may ask (or require) you to provide us with some elements of Personal Data (such as your email address and password) when you establish your account. In other cases, you may provide certain types of Personal Data to us (and other users) when you use the service.

(ii) When and how do we collect it? When you land on our page, our software and the third party software (noted in section 4a) tracks your ip and the page you visit, which allows us to see where our potential customers are coming from and what they are looking at. This helps us to improve the user experience and to evaluate our product range.

Data Capture: When you fill in forms on our website, our systems take this information and based on the location of the users postcode, forward this information to one of the dealers in our dealer network which you will find here http://ogt.ymr.mybluehost.me/myldv.co.uk/ldv-dealer-locator/. The selected dealer then deals with the customers information and contacts the customer if they asked to be contacted. This data is then anonymised when it has been closed off by the dealer or after 6 months, whichever comes first. Our system also performs various actions for marketing purposes such as checks the location of the IP versus the postcode, uses machine learning to look for patterns in the data and also uses Facebook & Google api’s to figure out the source of the customer so we can track return on investment of marketing campaigns.

Newsletter: When you sign up or opt-in for our newsletter, this allows us to send you marketing, news and other updates via email to you. At any stage that you would like to be removed from this mailing list, there is an unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email and your personal data will be removed. Please note this data is held by Mailchimp whose privacy policy can be found in section 4a.

Dealer Portal: When you register for the dealer portal, our systems capture which dealer you are a member of, along with your personal details such as a username, email, password and so on. This password is encrypted by our system so that it is never held in plain text and we are unable to ever see your password in a plain form. Once you leave the dealer network, your details and data are deleted. If you would like this data deleted before then, please login and create a ticket in the support area.

(b) Cookies: Our website uses cookies to track logins as well as the cookies used by our third party software integrations, which you will find in our cookie policy at
